Today marks an exciting new chapter for DX, as they join Atlassian to scale developer intelligence across the software lifecycle. It is a meaningful step forward for the team, the ecosystem, and how we understand productivity in the age of AI.
We first met Abi Noda, Greyson Junggren, and the DX team in 2023 when the team was just a couple dozen employees. We were grateful to support them as they built one of the most trusted platforms in engineering intelligence. As DX’s largest institutional investor, we have supported their work through product conversations, introductions to customer and strategic partners, and more than a few matcha-fueled working sessions in Salt Lake. What we saw again and again was a team defined by clarity, urgency and a steady commitment to excellence that has endured as the team has grown to 125+ team members and more than tripled its customer base.
ICONIQ could not be more thrilled to celebrate this exciting chapter in DX’s journey, and we offer massive congratulations to the team on this incredible milestone.
From the beginning, DX set out to solve a growing challenge: as organizations scale, product velocity often slows. DX equips engineering leaders with the what and the why – bringing together quantitative and qualitative insights to help give teams a clearer view of productivity, experience, and performance. Built in close partnership with leading researchers, the platform offers a full picture of what drives – or blocks – developer effectiveness.
Coupled with rapid product velocity and their steadfast commitment to customer excellence, their approach has attracted leading engineering organizations like Block, Pinterest, and Dropbox, as well as global enterprises like Pfizer, BNY, ADP, Tesco, Fiserv, and Booking.com to choose DX as their partner to improve the developer experience and accelerate engineering productivity. Especially in the AI era, organizations must be able to adapt quickly, or risk being left behind and DX enables customers to rely on data-driven insights to navigate this tectonic shift.
Now, as part of the Atlassian family, DX will be able to capture insights, drive action, and increase productivity across the entire organization and Atlassian ecosystem. DX already counts many companies in the broader developer ecosystem as customers and partners, including GitHub, Vercel, Cursor, and GitLab, and their acquisition by Atlassian is the next step in their journey to provide rich, actionable insights and drive developer productivity.
We are incredibly proud to have partnered with Abi, Greyson, and the entire team on this incredible path. We cannot wait to see how, together with Atlassian, you will continue shaping the future of developer productivity.
