We are thrilled to celebrate the acquisition of Statsig by OpenAI, a milestone that underscores the vital role experimentation and analytics play in shaping the future of product development. Our long-term relationship with Vijaye Raji and the Statsig team started in 2022, strengthened through regular time together in their office – joining stand-ups, engaging in product discussions, and seeing firsthand the discipline and creativity that shaped one of the most trusted experimentation platforms in the industry.

From the beginning, Vijaye’s vision was simple yet profound: bring the power of world-class experimentation to every product and engineering team. What started in 2021 with experimentation quickly expanded into feature flags, analytics, session replays, marketing experiments, and more. Along the way, Statsig became a key partner to many innovative companies worldwide – including Atlassian, Notion, Brex, Bloomberg, Univision, and Microsoft – helping them build smarter and faster through rapid feedback loops and data-informed decision-making.

Throughout our partnership, we saw the team’s discipline and deep customer obsession first hand – from roadmap sessions to glowing customer feedback that showed how Statsig was setting a new standard for modern product development. 

Now, with Statsig joining OpenAI, this vision is poised to reach a new level. OpenAI has already relied on Statsig’s platform to ship and learn quickly. By acquiring Statsig – and with Vijaye stepping into his new role as Chief Technology Officer of Applications at OpenAI – experimentation will play a central role in how AI-native products are conceived, built, and continuously improved.
