We are living through a profound shift in how people think about health. What was once reactive, with doctor visits after symptoms appear, is rapidly becoming proactive, powered by technology that makes our health data accessible, actionable, and personal. Today, 66% of millennials and 32% of older Americans rely on wearables to manage their health. Consumers want to understand their bodies, manage stress, sleep better, and prevent illness before it starts. Advances in sensors, AI, and design are finally making this vision possible.
That’s why we are thrilled to announce our investment in ŌURA’s Series E, to support their mission to redefine how millions of people around the world understand, engage with, and improve their health.
For too long, health data has been fragmented and underutilized, leaving people without the tools to make sense of their bodies’ signals. ŌURA addresses this gap with Oura Ring, which combines sleek design with high-fidelity tracking to capture the body’s most important signals from the finger. Establishing itself first as the market leader in sleep, ŌURA translated world-class science into everyday insights and has since expanded into heart health, activity, stress, recovery, women’s health, and longevity. By blending science, design, and usability, ŌURA has become a trusted daily essential for millions, with more than half of its 5.5 million devices having been sold in just the past year.
For many, proactive health is moving from a nice-to-have to a daily habit, and we believe the product is leading the way. ŌURA has rolled out women’s health support for pregnancy and menopause, heart-health features that deepen preventive care, Health Panels to integrate lab testing directly in the app, and partnerships with leaders like Dexcom that bridge personal biometrics with clinical collaborations. To match that momentum, ŌURA is also opening the doors - through retail channels, HSA/FSA eligibility, and insurance partnerships – to help allow access to keep up with innovation.
We first came to ŌURA as users. Early trials inside our team turned into daily habits across friends and colleagues, and our respect for the product grew with each elegant product release, and most recently Oura Ring 4 and the ceramic collection. Under the leadership of CEO Tom Hale and CFO Sean Brecker, we believe the company has built a world-class team that focuses on combining scientific credibility, thoughtful design, and commercial excellence, positioning Oura to help lead the future of proactive health.
We’re excited to welcome the ŌURA team to the ICONIQ family and support their vision to make personal health more accessible, and impactful – in more hands, homes, and lives around the world.
