The Opportunity:  Events Manager

 

ICONIQ Studio is dedicated to thoughtfully cultivating a remarkable community of the world’s brightest minds. Our goal is leveraging the ICONIQ community to connect people and ideas through uncommon content, meaningful insights, and extraordinary experiences. We are looking for a sharp, proactive, and professional event coordinator who will help execute on-brand experiences for ICONIQ Growth, our private equity and venture capital business that partners with visionaries defining the future of their industries, and can craft memorable, innovative programs and experiences for our portfolio and broader network to drive powerful and lasting connections. Maintaining confidentiality, effectively multi-tasking, being detail-oriented, and having a strong work ethic are imperative to success. This position will report to the VP of Events & Experiences, with a dotted line report to the Partner and Head of Marketing of ICONIQ Growth based in San Francisco.

 

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing all aspects of events, from conception to execution, ensuring that all events are delivered within budget and timeline.

  • Produce experiences consistently in line with the ICONIQ brand and access; assist in coordinating with vendors, and facilities, to manage event details, including décor, catering, entertainment, transportation, venue, budgets, etc.

  • Build event landing pages, communications, and marketing collateral; leveraging event and email marketing tools, you’ll track registrations and engage with the investment team to drive attendance.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, sponsors, and stakeholders.

  • Liaise across cross-functional internal teams to ensure successful execution of events.

  • Manage contacts and campaigns in Salesforce to track and report on event attendees.

  • Engage with both internal and external speakers to coordinate prep calls, rehearsals, etc.

  • Provide on-site event management, including coordinating staff, managing vendors, and handling any issues that arise

  • Own the reporting on the success of events, post-event analysis, budget analysis, participant feedback, and incorporating lessons learned into future events.

  • Keep abreast of industry trends, best practices, and regulations relevant to event management

 

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience managing events in a fast-paced environment, with experience or interest in the technology ecosystem (previous venture capital experience preferred but not required).

  • Proven track record of leading high-quality, memorable branded experiences for audiences of all sizes, both in-person and online, with a focus on high touch experiences for executives preferred.

  • Experience managing event agencies and a variety of external vendors (catering, rentals, AV, design, registration, etc.)

  • Experience creating event briefs and RFPs for external vendors.

  • Able to work effectively and adapt quickly in an entrepreneurial, ever-changing environment.

  • Strong time management skills; ability to handle multiple concurrent assignments with a high degree of accuracy and meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment.

  • Positive attitude, desire, and willingness to learn, willing to go above and beyond to get the job done.

  • Highly motivated, self-driven, able to think independently, and provide creative solutions.

  • Strong integrity, confidence, emotional intelligence, and ability to diplomatically navigate complex situations and lead diverse stakeholders and drive execution.

  • Proficient in using Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Suite, Splash, Salesforce, and Salesforce Marketing Cloud.

  • Design experience is a plus (Canva, Illustrator, and Photoshop) for invitations and materials.

Compensation Range: ICONIQ is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role, together with other compensation being offered such as a discretionary bonus, health insurance, and other perks. There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At ICONIQ, we apply a total reward philosophy where all aspects of compensation and benefits are taken into consideration in determining compensation terms. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $130,000.00-$145,000.00 together with a discretionary bonus, health insurance, paid time off, 401k participation with a company matching program, wellness stipend, personal education allowance as well as a commuter benefits program.
